New York-based company seeks part-time Rails Advisor to consult on an interactive database set on a Rails platform. We are looking for an Advisor to consult and assist on possible functionality and synergy with emerging technology. The site is at the Beta phase and would require testing of existing functionality and advising on necessary additions. This is a position at a company with excellent upside, with an exciting product. This placement also has the potential to turn into a Permanent position.
This is a fast paced position at a results focused company.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of Web pages, feeds, and APIs in Rails. Help develop a world class user experience.
Developing media management/streaming systems, feed readers, and all kinds of Web 2.0 products.
Fluency in: Ruby + Ruby on Rails, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (with AJAX a plus), an appreciation of Web standards, as well as usability and accessibility standards.
