unit and functional test cases

The topic is ideal for new comers wanting to learn more about these industries. http://www.railroadtrac.com

I generally would not unit test any gems that you are using (unless you find that tests are incomplete). They should have their own test suite. But, I would test how the gem integrates with your code.

Hi,

I am using device gem for my application.

I was supposed to write unit and functional test cases for the complete application. So shall i need to write the test cases for the things that were automatically created by device gem ??

Because device gen will have test cases for the gem in its directory structure. So shll i need to write test cases again for the functionality in controllers and models that were using device gem ???

Can any one suggest me on this ...

Thank You, Uma.
