thanks, could you please inform the best books to read and practices &conventions to follow to learn ruby and i want to install ruby in my linux redhat OS, plz.,inform which version is best to practice and how to install&run?? regards

Lots of people, me included, start with this book:

If you're familiar with other languages you can probably just start with that book, but if you need to learn Ruby you could try this:

http://mislav.uniqpath.com/poignant-guide/book/chapter-1.html

I'm sure Redhat comes with Ruby, so you can install Rails following the instructions here:

http://rubyonrails.org/download
