Hello I would like to know if there is a gem or utility which could be used in a rails application to generate a 2D barcode (datamatrix or PDF417). Thanks Regards |

Try Barby [ http://github.com/toretore/barby/tree/master ]. It has great support out of the box and also ties in nicely with rmagick if you need it. |

Barby doesn’t yet have support for 2D barcodes, but it’s definitely on the list of planned features. If someone knowledgeable wants to help make that happen faster, that’d be great :) |
