I like the new forums, it gives us a nice way to give back to the community who is afraid of some of the insults in #rubyonrails. But we desperately need a better code formatting system within textile. I just implemented a cool system using ultraviolet, I can hook you up with the code if you would like, you have my contact info. To see it in action check out the new blog I am building for myself. Another thing that would be nice is to have more horizontal room here on the forums so there is less wrapping. This would be exceptionally useful with code syntax highlighting. |

I agree that the forum would be much better with better code formatting, but I haven’t seen any hostility towards beginners on #rubyonrails. So I’d encourage everyone to visit #rubyonrails too, we don’t bite :) |

I agree most people on #ror are nice, however many people get so tired of hearing the same questions that they get pretty rough around the edges. I spend a lot of time in private chats to carebear folks who are lost. |
