Plugin downloads

Is there a way for me to download plugins like acts_as_authenticated even if I’m not connected to the internet? I don’t have my own internet connection so I can’t just simply use the ruby script/install command. I’ve been searching all over the internet but there are no separate downloads for the plugins. |

it depends on the plugin, but yes, you’d need an internet connection at some point! most have a subversion repository or git, so you’d be able to retrieve a copy and use it locally, and also you’d be able to reuse the same plugin once downloaded without needing to download again |
