At Simplificator we explore the fact that simplicity cannot be assumed in advance. We’re actively trying to find the logical solution which fulfills the business case. We work closely with the customer in an agile manner, iteratively finding the right solution. Ruby on Rails supports this approach very well, in our experience.

The success of a venture depends on a lean, direct implementation of core business ideas. It is important for us to focus on the primary use cases and create software which supports those cases first. Many projects get bogged down by too many features, unclear visuals, complex models or integration issues. We strive to find the essential structures of an application to clearly visualize process and state, leaving the path open to add features later, when the back bone of the application performs right and has proven its worth.

Because of this approach we need developers who can think on many levels – with good social skills for interacting with customers, and hard coding abilities for the technical tasks. This might limit our growth, but is much more fun, and results in better software.
