I have 3 permanent vacancies for Ruby on Rails Developers in London or Gibraltar for exciting new projects in the Web 2.0, media, online gaming, e-commerce space.
You will be joining a well-established company as they embark on a large new online gaming project working alongside 2 other Ruby on Rails developers in an Agile/SCRUM environment and will be able to have a real input and see your applications in use by millions of people worldwide. The site is high transactional and scalable, so there will be a lot of challenges and you will be expected to write maintainable, modular, re-skinnable code. Key technologies will include Ruby on Rails, GIT, JavaScript, JSON, Phusion Passenger. This will be a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a company who are going from strength to strength.
In order to be considered you will need proven commercial experience in Ruby on Rails. You should be comfortable working in an Agile/SCRUM environment and should have good working knowledge of JavaScript. Knowledge of GIT or Phusion Passenger would be an advantage but not essential. Experience working on Web 2.0, media, online gaming or e-commerce applications, or knowledge of how to develop sites for easy re-skinning would also be desirable.
The client has offices in London and Gibraltar in southern Spain, and is considering candidates for either office at the moment, but you must have permission to work in the EU. I regret that they are not able to consider remote working, contractors or candidates who would require a work permit
